Kenneth W. Cooper, Ph.D., P.E. Kenneth Cooper is director of engineering, Poolpak International, York, Pa. An authority in the field of natatorium environmental control, he was a founder of the company, which is a major manufacturer of natatorium dehumidification equipment. He has been responsible for all engineering development, increasing the product line from three models to 20. He designed a new product line of pool dehumidifiers and an outdoor swimming pool heat pump water heater for dry environments. He also oversaw design of a smaller line of indoor swimming pool dehumidifiers with capacities ranging from 1.5 to 10 tons of refrigeration. He holds six patents. He served on the committee that developed ASHRAE Standard 146, Method of Testing for Rating Pool Heaters.
